Players seem to love paratroopers in a map but as a mapmaker you may dread the tedious task of making “teleport markers.” If so this may help alleviate some of the drudgery:
1. In the Map Editor (MED) create your paratroopers by assigning them to their respective groups.
2. Copy all of those paratrooper icons (BGs) and paste the copies adjacent to the originals.
3. High-light (select) all of the copies of the BG paratroopers and change their “attributes” from being BGs to being “teleport markers.” They will still look like the original BGs until after the next two steps.
4. Now “SAVE” the map into a mission (.mis) file.
5. Lastly, “LOAD” that mission file you just saved… the converted BGs are now visible teleport markers.
This cuts the “paratrooper” making process in half and it’s a nifty thing to know if you make a lot of paratroopers in your maps. Of course the same applies for normal teleporting.
Hope this is useful information for you.
